Inês Negra’s daughters
Filhas de Inês Negra

by Sabrina Alves Filhas de Inês Negra

In the footsteps of a medieval warrior, six women continue to brandish their swords to defend the memory and culture of their territory. From a smuggler to a mason in France, Dona Dores has never been afraid of physical labor. With nostalgia for the old days, Dona Lúcia fervently tries to recreate the flavors of the past, while Dona Rosa has found refuge in her fairy hands. Guardians of time in a world where faith is fading, Maria, Piedade and Glória remain in the fight. This project is a tribute to the women of Melgaço whose courage and strength are the legacy of Inês Negra.

OPENING – 28 July - 19:00h

  • Date: 29 July to 20 September 2025
