Director of the following films: How Calm it is (85), Time of Darkness (87), The Outlaws (93), Portuguese Fado (95), Stowaway (00) and Our Lady of the Presentation (15) among others, which received over 40 mentions and awards. Worked as Producer on (since 97): The Night (99), Tragic Story with Happy Ending (05) and Kali the Little Vampire (12) by Regina Pessoa, Amélia & Duarte (15) by Alice Guimarães and Mónica Santos. The produced films have received about 95 awards and mentions. Tutor in several Animation Film workshops in Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Israel, Scotland, Poland, Brazil, Mexico, Lebanon and China, especially with children (since 85) and young people. Professor at Catholic University of Porto (99-01), ESAP (02-16), Na Tainan National University of the Arts (Taiwan) (06-09), ESAG Guimarães (since 2009) and University of Algarve (12-13), at BAU - Centro Universitário de Diseño of Barcelona (15-17). He also serves as President of ASIFA - International Animation Film Association (00-02) and Vice President of ASIFA Workshop Group (95-01). Co-author of the interactive manual Teaching With Animation (www.animwork.dk/twa). Nowadays Abi has been running the House Museum of Vilar – the Moving Image - (since 14) and producing the animation short films: Uncle Tomás and the Accounting of Days by Regina Pessoa, in co-production with ONF / NFB Canada and Les Armateurs (France) and also Ride, by Paul Bush, a co-production with Ancient Mariner, UK.
Agostino Ferrente
Born in 1971 in Cerignola, Italy. Agostino Ferrente is a director, producer and artistic director. Before becoming involved in cinema, he was an editorial coordinator for magazines and news programs addressed to communities of Italians living abroad. After gaining a degree in the DAMS in Bologna and attending Ermanno Olmi’s Ipotesi Cinema, he directed short films and music videos and produced them with his company Pirata Manifatture Cinematografiche. He’s also part of the multiethnic band L'Orchestra di Piazza Vittorio. In 2001, collaborating with ten accomplices, he founded the group "Apollo 11" in Rome, which saved the historical Apollo cinema theatre from becoming a bingo hall. By promoting film, music and writing, the group turned it into one of the liveliest cultural centres in Italy’s capital city, the first with an ongoing program dedicated to cinema of the real. He is currently working on his first non-documentary feature film.
Alexandra Wesolowski
Born in Katowice, Poland, Alexandra Wesolowski studied political science at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität in Erlangen and finished directing at the University for Television and Film in Munich. Alongside her studies she became a fellow of the Leo-Kirch-Foundation for Media Art and worked as a lecturer and concept developer. “Impreza – The Celebration”, her the debut feature documentary as a solo director, won the Jean-Loup Passek Award for best international documentary in 2018.
Albertino Gonçalves
Albertino has a master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Paris V-Sorbonne (1981) and a doctorate in Sociology from Universidade do Minho (1994), where he aggregated in the Sociology disciplinary group (2005). He has been teaching, since 1982, subjects in the field of social sciences methodology and cultural sociology, lifestyle and the arts. Coordinator of the post-graduation courses at Institute of Social Sciences, a member of the founding committee of Casa Museu of Monção and researcher at the Studies Center Communication and Society.
Álvaro Domingues
Álvaro António Gomes Domingues (Melgaço, 1959) is a geographer, PhD in Human Geography and associate professor at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto. Teaching activity: Teacher of the integrated master's and doctoral program in Architecture and PhD Course at FAUP; Member of the Scientific Council at FAUP; Professor of the Master’s degree "Project of the Urban Environment" (FAUP/FEUP); Teacher of PhD Course of Architecture of the University of Coimbra.; Professor of the Summer Courses at the Serralves Foundation; Visiting professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro; Visiting Professor at the University of Granada. Regularly collaborates with other universities, foundations, Público newspaper, cultural and professional associations, whilst developing a regular activity as a lecturer. Research fields: Urban Geography, Urban Planning, Landscape, Territory, Cultural Policy. His recent books include: Vida no Campo (ed. Dafne, Porto, 2012), A Rua da Estrada (ed.Dafne, Porto, 2010) and Políticas Urbanas II (Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Lisbon, 2012 with Nuno Portas and João Cabral)
Alessandro Ricardo Campos
Holds a PhD from the Postgraduate Program in Sociology and Anthropology - PPGSA / UFPA, Master in Social Anthropology from the same Program (2014), and Specialist in "African Education and Knowledge and the implementation of Law 10,639" from the Federal University of Pará (2012). He holds a degree in Social Sciences from the same university (2005). He works as a Teacher (Class II) at the State Department of Education (SEDUC / PA) and as an external teacher at UFPA. He is a founding member of the Research Group on Visual Anthropology and Image - Visagem / PPGSA, and editor of the e-Magazine Visagem. He is a curator of the showings at the Ethnographic Film Festival of Recife and coordinator of the Ethnographic Film Festival of Pará.
Alfonso Palazón
PhD and degree in Information and Communication Sciences from the Complutense University. Recipient of the Aurelio Paz dos Reis International Award, 2016. Full Professor of Audiovisual Communication at the Faculty of Communication Sciences of Rey Juan Carlos University. He has worked on various audiovisual projects as director, producer and screenwriter. Alfonso is currently co-producing the transmedia project A Primavera Rosa.
Bernard Despomadères
Bernard has graduated in Law and Political Science. Amongst other roles, he was a Professor, Director of the Art and Culture Department of the Institut Français du Portugal; responsible for the organization of the French Film Festival in Porto, co-founder of the Alliance Française de Porto (Board member), collaborator with Jean-Loup Passek in the creation, and later in the management of the Melgaço Film Museum, Executive Producer of the film En une poignée de mains amies by Jean Rouch and Manoel de Oliveira.
Catarina Mourão
Catarina Mourão studied Music, Law and Film (MA Bristol University). In 1998 she founded AporDOC, Portuguese Documentary Association and started teaching Film and Documentary in 2000. With another filmmaker (Catarina Alves Costa) she started Laranja Azul, an independent production company for creative documentary and visual arts in Lisbon.
Daniel Maciel
PhD in Anthropology - Power, Resistance and Social Movements, by the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of Nova University of Lisbon. Developer of research on uses and practices of culture directed to marginalized populations, with special interest in its application in prison contexts. Alongside AO NORTE, Daniel has been collaborating in projects of collection, inventory and reflection around historical photographs in personal albums.
Denise Machado Cardoso
Anthropologist, graduated in History and PhD in Socio-Environmental Development. She coordinates the Research Group in Visual Anthropology and Image (Visagem) and Study Group on Indigenous Populations Eneida Correa de Assis (GEPI). Coordination team member of the Visual Anthropology Committee of the Brazilian Association of Anthropology (CAV-ABA). Denise works as coordinator of the Arthur Napoleão Figueiredo Anthropology Laboratory (LAANF) and as a professor in the Postgraduate Program in Sociology and Anthropology (PPGSA) and the Postgraduate Program in Cities, Territories and Identities (PPGCITI) from the Federal University of Pará.
Dina Naser
A Jordanian director, writer, and producer with Palestinian roots, Dina Naser holds a BA in Art and Graphic Design. Following her passion for filmmaking, she was granted the scholarship for DOCNOMADS Mobile Documentary School for a two-year MA programme in Lisbon, Budapest, and Brussels. She worked her way through a variety of television and film productions, until she began to direct and produce independently. Her first works are inspired by stories from her homeland. Her short documentary film ‘Shamieh’ (2011) portrays an aging Palestinian woman living in the Zizya refugee camp in Jordan. Her award-winning ‘One Minute’ (2015) tells the story of a woman living in Gaza while it was under attack in 2014. ‘Sea Wash’ (co-director, 2016), a short experimental film, pictures refugees who lost their lives at sea. ‘Tiny Souls’, a documentary project first realized in a nine-minute format, will be Naser’s first feature length film.
Eduardo Brito
Eduardo Brito holds a Master's degree in Artistic Studies - Museology and Curatorial studies - from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Porto. At the faculty Eduardo is a research fellow at the I2ADS's Research Group in Art and Intermedia, researching on museology, film and visual studies and photography. Eduardo was project coordinator of Reimagining Guimarães, a photography, archive and curatorial programme developed for the Guimarães 2012 European City of Culture. Brito is the author of the photographic books Terras Últimas (2010), Under the Almost-Same Light and Uma Variação Veneziana (2014), of the text As Orcadianas (The Orcadians, 2014), and of the short films Antropia (2009), Line (2013) and Over The Hills (with pianist Joana Gama, 2013) and As Simultâneas (with artist Rita Faustino, 2015). He wrote the screenplays for Paulo Abreu's film The Scoundrel (2012) and Manuel Mozos’ The Glory of Filmmaking in Portugal (2015). He directed the short films Penumbria (2016) and Slope (2018).
Glaúcia Davino
PhD in Communication Sciences - USP. Master’s in Arts - USP. Bachelor in Social Communication - Cinema - USP. Has professional experience in audiovisual. Lecturer in the Interdisciplinary Post Graduation Program "Education, Art and History of Culture", at Mackenzie Presbyterian University. Leader of the NAV Research Group - Audiovisual Nucleus. Researcher on audiovisual script since 1989. She has been developing unpublished research on Brazilian screenwriters. Created and coordinated the Writers' Stories Seminars since 2009. Gláucia investigates themes in the fields of languages related to audiovisual and contemporary media and technologies, focusing on creative procedures.

Graduated in Journalism and PhD in Audiovisual Communication from UCM. Professor of Communication at the Rey Juan Carlos University, Madrid. Director of the Official Master’s of Digital Journalism and New Professional Profiles of URJC.
Graça Lobo
Graça Lobo holds a Masters degree in Cultural Management with a Thesis in Public Education for Cinema. She was Coordinator of the Project Group for the National Cinema Plan, in 2012/13 and 2013/14. Co-author and coordinator of the Youth / Cinema / School Program for the Regional Education Board of Algarve since 1997/98. Co-author of the Option Subject in Cinema Program of the 3rd cycle of Basic Education. She was a primary and high school teacher between 1975 and 1997 and supervising professor in Teachers’ formation at Escola Superior da Educação of Algarve from 1993 to 1996. Visiting professor at the University of Algarve teaching Cinema subjects between 1994 and 2001.Graça is an accredited trainer by the Council for Continuing Education of Teachers, and has held dozens of training courses in Film Literacy since 1999. Vice president of the Faro film club from 1996 to 2008. Coordinator of several publications in the field of cinema. She made presentations in National and International Congresses.
Isa Catarina Mateus
Isa completed the curricular part of the Master's Degree in Contemporary Art History at Universidade Nova de Lisboa (2000) and a Degree in Portuguese Studies - field of scientific specialization at the University of Algarve (1998). Has the Course of Musical Education and piano, by the Regional Conservatory of Algarve (1992). She did radio. Founding member of RADIX, within the Ministry of Culture. Editorial coordinator of Sul Magazine. Teacher of Music Education, Civic Education and Portuguese History at basic education. Lecturer of Contemporary Artistic Movements in Higher Education. Instructor of Visual Communication and Photography and Video and author of the teaching materials for the curricular unit of psychoanalysis at the University of Algarve. Trainer in Art History and Educational Technologies, Audiovisual Media in Actions for the Continuing Education of Teachers. She was a member of the artistic training team, field of Literature and Writing, in the project ‘I see a monument from my window’ from the Regional Directorate of Culture of Algarve. Coordinator of the training for the National Cinema Plan, instructor in the Initiation, Continuity and Follow-up Training Actions of Teachers and author of the pedagogical materials of the PNC (2012-2014). She has made communications in congresses in the fields of Art History and literacy and has also published poetry and short stories. Isa develops workshops in reading, writing and voice for students from the different levels of education. Collaborator and author of the training materials of the Youth / Cinema / School Program and author of the project VER para LER of the Algarve Regional Education Board since 2004. Coordinator of the Training Committee of the Faro film club.
Iman Behrouzi
Born in 1984 in Shiraz, Iran, he studied cinema and directing at the University of Tehran in Iran. Now he is studying for a PhD in Culture and Media Studies at the University of Cologne in Germany. He has directed and edited several documentaries and short fiction films. One of his previous documentaries, "A Movie for You", was premiered at the Visions du Réel, one of the most important documentary film festivals in the world, and was afterwards shown at the Zurich Film Festival in 2015. "Amour du Réel", another of his documentaries, was officially selected to screen at the Oscar qualifying and BAFTA recognized film festivals "Flickers' Rhode Island Film Festival" and "Aesthetica Short Film Festival" in 2018.
Janine Dauterich
Janine Dauterich studied film editing at the University of Film and Television „Konrad Wolf“ Potsdam Babelsberg. She works as a freelance film editor on documentaries, fiction movies, music and art films. Her last work with director Elke Sasse (#MyEscape) won numerous international awards. For "The war on my phone" she was nominated for Best editing at the German Camera Award.
Jean-Baptiste Garnero
For the past fifteen years, Jean-Baptiste Garnero has been working to collect and present collections that are either entrusted or belong to the CNC (French National Center for Cinema). He has therefore overseen several projects designed to reassert the value of French film heritage in France and abroad through cultural organizations such as festivals, cinematheques, museums, professional schools and UNESCO. In collaboration with Sophie Le Tétour (CNC), JB Garnero is working to promote the Alexeïeff-Parker collection (films, exhibitions and conferences) and is currently taking part in the production of the latest film by Alexandre Alexeïeff and Claire Parker, once again directing films in France.
Jesús Ramé

João Gigante
Born in Viana do Castelo, graduated in Fine Arts from the Faculty of Belas Artes in Porto and completed a Master's Degree in Audiovisual Communication (Photography) at Escola Superior de Música, Artes e Espectáculo from the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. He mantains his course among the practice of fine arts, having displayed his work in several exhibitions within the national and international artistic scene and the practice of production and organization of events and artistic projects and the projection and organization of projects of social and ethnographic level, maintaining its artistic and conceptual character. His work complements the different areas of plastic performance, like photography, video, sound design, installation and design. Developer of musical projects with highlights such as PHOLE and the sound plastic project ARAME (with Miguel Arieira). João is also the founding member and director of PARASITA Magazine (with Hugo Soares).
João Lafuente
Graduate in Applied Mathematics from the University of Porto, worked as a computer technician at Caixa Geral de Depósitos. He has been dedicated to photography since adolescence, with some of his works published in books and magazines. Participated in collective exhibitions and held individual exhibitions and in co-authorship with Manuela Matos Monteiro. Among the various exhibitions produced are "Carnival in Venice", "The Harvest", "Crystalline light", "Istanbul - Roadmap of melancholy", "Tropicana / Matanzas", "South of Dakar" Istanbul and Lisbon - Roadmaps of melancholy ". Among other interventions, we should also mention his work in co-authorship on the river Douro: official photograph of the 250th anniversary of the demarcated region, an exhibition about the region in Parliament (" the Douro on the Tagus” with Siza Vieira, José Rodrigues and Gracinda Candeias), in the European Parliament / Brussels, Paris, Bordeaux, Maputo and Beira (Mozambique), in various areas of the Douro and Porto. Since October 2013, with Manuela Matos Monteiro, João has been running the galleries ESPAÇO MIRA and MIRA FORUM, in Campanhã, Porto.
José da Silva Ribeiro
Degree in Philosophy, Bachelor in Film and Video, Master’s in Multimedia Educational Communication and PhD in Anthropology - visual anthropology and digital anthropology. He coordinates the Research Group on Media and Cultural Mediations - CEMRI Open University and the Group of Studies on Cinema and Digital Narratives of AO NORTE. Collaborator with several Universities, Centers and Research Groups and Film Festivals in Portugal and Brazil. José undertakes field work, research and audiovisual production in Brazil and Portugal. Coordinates with Professor Alice Martins at REDARTH - Network for International Cooperation in Education, Arts and Humanities and participates in the Management of AIETORG - International Association of Transcultural Studies.
Julia Kushnarenko
Julia Kushnarenko was born in Moscow and studied directing at the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography. She has completed courses at Moscow’s Scream School in visual effects compositing. She works not only as a documentary director, but also as a cinematographer and an editor. Julia is fascinated by exploring characters in all their contradictions. In 2017 Julia with Veronika Sher founded International Dance Short Film Festival BODYSCOPE.
Jurek Sehrt
Studied History and Spanish in Berlin, Barcelona and Guadalajara (Mexico). Since 2007 he manages the Area of Education of the German Cinematheque – Museum of Film and Television (Deutsche Kinemathek – Museum für Film und Fernsehen), Berlin where he is responsible for the entire educational programing and has initiated several film- and media education projects. Furthermore he works as a consultant and curator for other cultural institutions and teaches as a university lecturer history, museology and media sciences (e.g. at Freie Universität Berlin, Universität Konstanz).
Konrad Domaszewski
Completed Law at the University of Warsaw and Film Studies at Janiellonian University in Cracow. Was the assistant director of the Polish major mation film Ciacho (directed by Patrick Vega, 2010) In 2011 he created cinema clun Faktor Berlinski at TLL and is strongly involved in its working. At the 48 Hours Film Project Warsaw festival in 2012 his own film “How Many Degrees is In A Warm Voice?” won 6 awards, namely film of the year. He created independent film studio Sashimodo Pictures (basically producing short movies, video clips and programs). The role is to continually evolve as artist and not to be limited to any particular genre of film. He likes Cronenberg, Polanski, Scorsese, Jodorowski and many many other directors. In 2014 he was member of the jury at the Jameson Cinefest 11th Miskolc International Film Festival in 2017 the member of the jury on 24th Etiuda & Anima International Film Festival and in 2018 in Coimbra on XXIV Caminhos Film Festival
Lisabete Coradini
Master's degree in Social Anthropology from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (1992) and PhD in Anthropology from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (2000). She is currently a Professor of the Department of Anthropology at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. Coordinator of NAVIS Nucleus of Visual Anthropology, Research Directory / CNPq-UFRN. She directed the following films: No Mato das Mangabeiras, Seu Pernambuco, Cinema Moçambicano em Movimento, Sila, Mulher Cangaceira, Mestre Zorro, among others. Member of the Commission for the Elaboration and Evaluation of the Audiovisual Production Classification Script / CAPES. Member of the ANPOCS Image and Sound Commission in 2001-2002 and the Visual Anthropology GT of ABA (2009-2010) and (2011-2012). She has published: Praça XV space and sociability; Anthropology and Image; Cities and their Images. She organized a Dossier on audiovisual Film anthropology. She has experience in the field of Anthropology, with emphasis in Urban and Audiovisual Anthropology, working mainly in the following subjects: cities, spaces, memories, narratives, film, African cinema and the use of image. Lisabete is currently chair of the ABA Visual Anthropology Commission.
Manuela Matos Monteiro
Has a degree in Philosophy and Psychology. Co-author of books on Psychosociology, Psychology and author of Pedagogy books, Project Methodology among others (Porto Ed). She managed the 2:PONTOS magazine for two years and coordinated the NetProf website. She has been involved in photography for several years, enrolling her work in collective and individual exhibitions. Her work has been recognized through awards obtained in several photography competitions, including 1st prize in the international contest "La femme et la vigne" and published in books and magazines. Among the numerous interventions can be highlighted the work in co-authorship with João Lafuente, on the river Douro. Since 2011, Manuela has been developing experiences with a Smartphone exploring the potential of the device in capturing and editing photographs. She had selected works and exhibitions in Los Angeles, Kansas City, Miami, Tokyo, Berlin, Florence, Verona and others. She held two solo exhibitions: at the Montalegre Ecomuseum (2012) and the exhibition "Contemplation" at the Casa Museu Abel Salazar (December 2014). One of her "Self (ie) evidence" won the 1st prize in the self-portrait category in the 2014 MPA competition, the most prestigious award in mobile photography.
Maria Pinto Martin
Literary and visual artist of formation, is currently screenwriter and reader in Pôle Image Haute-Normandie. She also works in the field of production - accompanying the development of projects for the films produced by Antoine Martin Production and Sancho et Compagnie, both in terms of writing and in the support and advice of authors and re-recording of archives. She has been documentary and docfiction filmmaker since 2008.
Miguel Gonçalves Mendes
Miguel Gonçalves Mendes was born is 1978 in Covilhã, Portugal. He worked as an actor, director and producer and directed several feature films and documentaries. In 2002, he founded JumpCut, a cinema and theatre producer, based in Lisbon. He is currently one of the established names of the new generation of Portuguese filmmakers. He held a series of award-winning documentaries, experimental films and projects on request. His film Floripes, released in 2007, is his first hybrid production (documentary-fiction), a format the director began to explore. In 2011, he had the debut of his project José e Pilar, in co-production with O2Filmes and the Spanish producer El Deseo (from the Almodovar brothers). Internationally acclaimed by critics and audiences, the film collected awards in several festivals and was elected to represent Portugal in the category of Best Foreign Film Oscar in 2012. Among his most recent works is the series “I’ve nothing of my own"", displayed by Canal Brazil in 2013. In 2018, Miguel adapted to the cinema one of the most lucid works of Portuguese culture – “Saudade's Labyrinth"" from Eduardo Lourenço – on a unique journey inside a brilliant mind. Miguel’s most recent project is the documentary MEANING OF LIFE - a film that tells the story of a young man with Amyloidosis and his exciting search for purpose, meaning and truth. In parallel, Miguel is also developing the long fiction film ""The Gospel According to Jesus Christ"", the controversial adaptation novel by Nobel Prize winner José Saramago.
Mina Rad
Mina Rad left her native country at the age of 18, the day after the Iranian revolution to purse her dream like Oriana Fallaci and become an international reporter. After studying history, journalism and communication at the Sorbonne Paris, she embarked on international political journalism in various Central Asian countries. She worked for the BBC, RFI and AFP. While traveling the world, for twelve years, she discovers another passion, World Music. She became Editor-in-Chief of World Music Supplements for The World of Music. Between 1990 to 2000 she traveled the world and produced supplements devoted to the music of rare and emerging countries for; Yemen, Egypt, Cuba, Cape Verde, Marocco and India. In 2011 and 2014, she trained in the production and writing of documentaries at Ateliers Varan. Her first film "For me the sun never sets," was awarded the prize for best documentary film at the Festival of Truth in Iran in 2012. This film got the jury mention, "for the warmth and simplicity to tell a deep story". She is the founder and president of Apresvaran, an alumni association of Ateliers Varan created in 2013. She is director of the Apresvaran Documentary Film Festival. As a documentary filmmaker, she has directed more than ten films. In preparing several documentaries, she notes that the documentary opens a window to the universe. Mina Rad has made several portraits of people who have marked the history of Iran: "This family of 60 people",and "History of the Mafi family". Mina Rad, is interested in the transmission of knowledge and the methods of the realization of great filmmakers like Jean Rouch (France), Pierre Perrault (Quebec, Canada). She directs and produces documentary films based on the influence of these cineastes. In 2017, the film "Jean Rouch Persian look", was broadcast by TV5 Monde on the occasion of the centenary of Jean Rouch. EN 2019, The film "Persian Tales, Jean Rouch in Iran" was presented at Melgaco International Documentary Film Festival in Portugal. It will be published in Montparnasse publisher in France in a series of films dedicated to Jean Rouch. EN 2019, "The future of the past, Pierre and Yolande Perrault", which reflects the influence of this filmmaker after half a century on the little children of the characters of his films at Isle aux Coudres. This film was in the official selection of the Festival for Art at FiFA in Montreal. And it is scheduled at the Jean Loup Passak awards at the Melgaco International Documentary Film Festival.
Mónica Ferreira
Mónica Ferreira has a degree in Video and Documentary Film. Participation in docLisboa and FEST - New filmmakers | New Cinema international festivals as assistant producer and programmer. She is currently coordinating several projects in the field of audiovisual culture within the Bairrada Film club, and promotes the work of young Portuguese filmmakers through the Shortcutz network.

Pedro Sena Nunes
He was born in Lisbon. Film director, cultural programmer, and professor in the fields of artistic creation, documentary and experimental film, Pedro Sena Nunes has directed various projects - documentaries, fiction films and commercials - with the support of ICA/RTP. Co-artistic director of Vo'Arte and co-founder of Companhia Teatro Meridional, he consults and coordinates diverse cultural projects. He integrated the teams of Fragile, Unlimited and European Video Dance Heritage (EVDH). He co-directs the international festivals InShadow – Lisbon ScreenDance Festival, InArt – Community Arts Festival and has programmed Olhares Frontais - Encontros de Cinema Viana do Castelo. His artistic work has had an increasing focus on social practices through expanding dynamics between people with special needs and professional artists. An orchestrator and stage director in various theatre, choreographic and performative projects, Pedro Sena Nunes, was awarded numerous times for his cinematographic, photographic and multidisciplinary works, both in Portugal and abroad. He is, currently, pedagogical coordinator (ETIC) and teacher in the Masters Documentary Cinema (ESMAD). He is a PhD student at the University of Lisbon in Performative Arts and Moving Image and a researcher at GECAPA in the intersecting, experimental areas between body and image.
Raquel Pacheco
Raquel Pacheco has a degree in Communication Sciences, specializing in Cinema, from IACS – Instituto de Artes e Comunicação Social da Universidade Federal Fluminense [Arts and Social Communication Institute of the Fluminense Federal University] (2000), a Master's and a PhD in Communication Sciences, specializing in Media Studies and Journalism.
Regina Pessoa
Coimbra (Portugal), 1969 Painting Degree at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, 1998 Co-orientation of several animation workshops since 1992 In 1992 she starts working in animation: - Animation, in the film "The Outlaws", by Abi Feijó, 92/93 - Animation and graphic research in the film "Fado Lusitano", 94/95 - Sand animation in the film “Stowaway”, by Abi Feijó, 2000. In 1996 she starts directing. Her films obtained a vast recognition, winning countless awards and becoming inescapable references. All her films are in the Portuguese National Cinema Plan, being studied by children and young people in Schools in Portugal. In 2016 became Senior Lecturer at FILMAKADEMIE - Germany. In 2018 became member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences
Rejane Zilles
Filmmaker, actress and producer. Graduated in Performing Arts from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro / UNIRIO, she works in the film production market. She has been the director and curator of the Mimo Film Festival since its first edition. MIMO is held in Paraty, Olinda, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Amarante / Portugal. Directed and produced the short film THE BOOK OF WALACHAI - exhibited in more than thirty festivals in and outside Brazil. She premiered as a feature director with the documentary WALACHAI - released on the national circuit in 2013. Rejane was born and lived her childhood in this community of German origin in southern Brazil and learned to speak Portuguese only when she was seven years old. Whilst filming, she documents her hometown.
Rodrigo Areias
Rodrigo Areias began his studies in Management at the Portuguese Catholic University, graduated in Sound and Image at the School of Arts with specialization in image. He also specialised in Direction on the Tisch School of Arts at New York University and on the production Eurodoc program. He has developed throughout his career, creative work in the field of the independente cinema, in fiction and documentary, alternating with other works of video art and video clips for some of the best bands in the Portuguese rock scene (The Legendary Tiger Man, Wray Gunn, Dead Hand, Sean Riley, D3o, etc..) and various other projects. As a producer, he began his career in 2001 and has since produced and co-produced over 70 short, long, videos and documentaries. He has produced renowned authors like Edgar Pêra, João Canijo and FJ Ossang and young directors as André Gil Mata, João Rodrigues and Jorge Quintela. He also co-produced with Brazil, England, France, Germany and Finland. As a director, among several films, stands out Tebas (feature film) and Corrente(short film) which were represented in over fifty international film festivals and were awarded a dozen times. His second feature film premiered in Official Competition at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and was awarded awith a honorable mension. He was responsible for the film production of Guimarães 2012 European Capital of Culture where film directors such as Jean-Luc Godard, Aki Kaurismaki, Peter Greenaway, Manoel de Oliveira, Pedro Costa and Victor Erice where included.

Graduated in Letters by the University of São Paulo, Masters and PhD in Communication and Semiotics: Literature, by the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. Post-Doctorate in Literary Theory by the Federal University of Minas Gerais and Social History by the University of São Paulo. Researcher at Diversitas / USP and Professor of Diversitas / USP's Postgraduate Program in Humanities, Rights and Other Legalities. Professor of Literature and Drama, of the Armando Álvares Penteado Foundation and of Communication and Expression of Fatec. Was Vice-Coordinator of Diversitas / Usp and Coordinator of INOVA / FATEC. Coordinator of the Art, Culture and Subjectivity Studies Group. Researcher of Research Groups Jean Rouch and Redhart.
Sagit Shalom
Sagit Shalom is the head of productions at Maagalot for the last 8 years. Among others she is responsible for Maagalot hit documentary series "Avudim" (Israeli version of "find my family") now filming its 12th season. Also, "The Food Ambassadors", Docu- food series around the world, Kan 11 the 2nd season is airing these days. "Collaborators" 3 episodes documentary series for channel Kan 11 about Palestinian collaborators aired 2018. Susana Sousa Dias
Susana de Sousa Dias, born in Lisbon, Portugal in 1962, holds a PhD in Fine Arts/Video and teaches at the Fine Arts Faculty of the Universidade de Lisboa. She has exhibited her cinematic works at international film festivals and art exhibitions worldwide and received several awards. In 2012 she was Co-director of the international film festival Doclisboa, opening up the new sections “Cinema of Urgency” and “Passages” there in 2013.
Tânia Dinis
Tânia Dinis, 1983, Vila Nova de Famalicão. Currently living and working in Porto. Master’s degree in Contemporary Artistic Practices, FBAUP, Porto 2015. Degree in Theater Studies, - Interpretation - ESMAE in 2006. Directed the short films “They’re not fava beans, They’re scarlet runner beans”, 2013, Old Wives’ Tales in 2015, video installation Line in 2016, Teresa and Laura in 2017, and ARMINDO AND THE DARK CHAMBER, 2017/2018. She directed the theatrical creation (2nd part) Álbum de Família with Isabel Costa (1st part), from the collection of family photographs d 'A Muralha - Guimarães Association, a production of the Teatro Oficina for the programming of the Festivais Gil Vicente, 2017 in Casa da Memória, Guimarães. She was part of the collective of artists DAS PLAST V PJS, the project – A few reasons for non dismissive art , Eduarda Neves. 2014/2015 and integrates the Correspondences project of Eduarda Neves in 2015/2018. Her art projects, developed mainly in performance, film, video, photography and installation, often taking on an itinerant basis. In the last few years she has worked from family archive images - photographs, films - personal or anonymous, creating new objects from them. A research work around time, image-memory. Her films and creations - Female, Family Imaginary, (Family Archive Project), Rota (small family history), MONO-LOGO, From memory, among other works have been part of the program of various national and international festivals, as well as collective exhibitions. She collaborated in projects of Cia - Excesses, Brazil and with Utero Cultural Association. She joined FAMEP | I Jornadas PHOTOGRAPHY AND ARCHIVE of ESAP in 2014. She was a member of the jury of feature films at the 17th Luso-Brazilian Festival of Santa Maria da Feira and in 2016 at Curta Oito - International Super 8 Festival in Curitiba, Brazil.
Tiago Baptista
Director of the National Archive of Motion Pictures, the conservation center of the Cinemateca Portuguesa-Museu do Cinema. PhD in Film and Screen Media from the University of London (Birkbeck College), is an integrated researcher at the Institute of Contemporary History-NOVA FCSH and a lecturer at the Faculty of Human Sciences at the Portuguese Catholic University.
Tiago Hespanha
He majored in architecture in 2004 and received a master’s degree in creative documentary from Barcelona’s Pompeu Fabra University in 2012. He has been a partner at the production company TERRATREME since 2008. In 2006 he participated in a workshop on documentary filmmaking held by the Ateliers Varan in Lisbon and produced by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Since then he has been working as a director in his own films and has taken on different roles in other projects. In 2009 he worked as a trainee at the Ateliers Varan in Paris. He teaches at the DOCNOMADS - European Documentary Master Course.
He directed the following films: INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION, co-directed with Frederico Lobo (2014 - World Premiere at “Visions du Réel”, Nyon, Switzerland); GUIDED TOUR (2009 - Audience Award at Indielisboa); THE GIFT FROM AFAR (2008 – Included in the collection "So close, So far" released in DVD by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation); “GROUND GLASS I, II” (2007 – First prize at Lisbon’s Microfilms Festival); SHOW HOME (2007) and QUINTA DA CURRALEIRA (2006 – Primeiro Olhar Award at “Encontros de Cinema e Video de Viana do Castelo”).
Trond Onarheim
Festival Coordinator on the West Coast of Norway, specialising in literature and theatre for young people, cooperates with The Norwegian International Film Festival in Haugesund for local screenings of festival films aimed for a young audience. Trond has a degree in Visual Arts from the University of Bergen and has studied Alternative Cinema at the University of Oslo. He is one of three founding members of Stord Film Society, which focuses on collaborative film events and social awareness.
Yolanda Ribas Velázquez
She has been working since 2005 at Filmoteca de Catalunya as a restorer, where she performs the inspection, conservation and cataloging of archives. In addition she has been involved in the recovery of photographic and filmic backgrounds, the organization of exhibitions and research projects related to archives. She is currently investigating her doctoral thesis entitled “Film Distribution in Barcelona during the First World War ”, tutored by Palmira González, at the University of Barcelona
