Luís Miguel Portela Portugal, 2018
Based on its origins in the Algarve, the author decides, in his second participation in the Frontal Shot Residency, to extend the limits of the municipality of Melgaço, exploring the distance that connects the north and south extremes of the country. Circumscribed to the surrounding area of Cevide, and the island of Culatra, this comparative photographic essay starts from the search for the difference between these opposing poles of the country, to embrace the doubt if whether it is more what separates or approaches them. Over there, where the extremes meet, is where this photographic project intends to arrive.
