This project was the result of an Artistic Residency held in Melgaço, in August of 2010, whose theme was Identity, Memory and Border. The realization of these images accompanied the awareness of the existence of the other side of the border as an expression of a duality. At the border, there is a game between approximation and distance that transpires, at the same time that the spatial boundary transposes the temporal boundary and surrenders to its contradictions.

Sandra Teixeira

Currently attending the Masters degree in Documentary Photography at ESMAD - IPP. Trained in Manual Binding, Cyanotyping, and B & W Revelation. Collaborator with CityScope – photography in architecture, landscape and territory. Developed several projects in the field of landscape. She understands the photographic process as a space open to a plastic approach, which allows for the introduction of other elements such as video.
