Cinema without borders – The gaze of Jean-Loup Passek

This exhibition, created from the collection of the Jean-Loup Passek Museum of Cinema – Melgaço, following the retrospectives promoted by the cinephile at the Center Georges Pompidou (Paris) as director of the Cinema Department, allows us to discover books, catalogs and posters published and presented concomitantly.
It reveals Jean-Loup Passek's passionate interest in lesser-known national cinematography (Czechoslovak, Hungarian, Polish, Yugoslav, Portuguese, Turkish, Greek, Armenian, Georgian, Chinese, Indian, Korean, Australian, Mexican, Cuban, Soviet Central Asian…).
The exhibition thus takes us on a journey to the Cinema of each of these countries, opening its borders to the world and constituting an invaluable bibliographic and photographic legacy in the history of the 7th art.
